After a query with the bill the young lady who talked to us was excellent. She was informative, friendly and extremely competent. She was able to make us feel validated rather than frustrated and we left happy rather than annoyed.

A nightclub (Bar 100) on the other side of the street was "sharing" it's music so loudly that we could feel the reverberations in the headboard of our bed!! We rang reception to say that we couldn't get to sleep and asking when the club would be closing - hoping that we might be offered another room in a quieter part of the hotel. No room was offered, instead we were informed that the club shuts at 3 am. I donned ear plugs and was able to get to sleep, my partner can not wear ear plugs and was kept awake until 3am. Not a great experience given that we had to be up at 6 am to begin a hectic 12-hour day's work at the Aroma Festival. We would recommend anyone wanting a good night's sleep to stay away from this hotel towards the end of the week.

Great location, but watch your expectations
The rooftop pool and hot tub have a fine view of the harbor and the city, it was like being on top of the world! Plus, despite some hiccups, breakfast had this juice machine that just made your morning. It was a real winner.
Prices weren't exactly a steal either. You'll pay a hefty sum for what you expect to be better.

Location in The Rocks was excellent, just two minutes from Circular Quay and a great spot from which to explore Sydney.
The room at third floor level was noisy. Not much the hotel could do about it but someone putting tables and chairs out at 5.00AM in the morning in the square at the back of the hotel was "unhelpful"

Good basic simple & comfortable hotel without frills in a great area of sydney. Room was clean, good condition and a good size. Has a great view of the opera house and harbour bridge from the roof terrace and pool & spa area.
We were on the second floor overlooking a bar/pub at the rocks - it got pretty noisy when we were trying to sleep - wouldn't recommend staying on a lower floor with this view. Breakfast was a bit of a let down, the hot breakfast was a bit rubbery tasting, however the continental breakfast was great - lots of variety.

Great location but needs a refresh
The location is super convenient, just steps from some major attractions. My room felt kinda cramped, though. Clean enough, but the service was way off. I preordered some wine for arrival, and when I asked, they had no clue. It would've been nice to grab a drink at the bar, but it was a little underwhelming.

The hotel is ideally located as a springboard for all activities in and around Sydney. I was able to have 2 of my grandchildren to stay with me for 2 nights (7&9 years old) and they were completely at home and comfortable. The food from the restaurant was excellent
The area in the foyer used for evening meals. The steps down into the area are rather treacherous. I was unlucky enough to fall and badly hurt a knee but the duty manager who was very professional did everything he could to assist me. Since coming home I have sought medical advice just to affirm that no permanent damage has occurred and all is well. I am a trained nurse so was able to initiate my own immediate treatment which was a help. I'm sure some simple remediation of the area could help prevent any future incidents but I understand you may already have some tentative plans to effect this. I would not hesitate to use the faciilty again in the future.
